This Months Feature Destination…………Los Cabos
Visited this March by Marlin Travel Professionals Jodi and Marlene
Situated on the tip of the Baja Peninsula, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean, Los Cabos is an intriguing combination of modern tourist services and Old World Mexican Charm. A 20 mile oceanfront corrider of charming resorts, endless desert and incredible beach are framed by stunning mountains of the Sierra de la Laguna.
It’s rugged and rocky coastline is a sharp contrast to the long and wide expanses of brilliant sand beaches of unparalleled beauty. Along the corridor from San Jose del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas there are twenty very different beaches. The popular Playa Costa Azul is a favourite for surfers; Santa Maria Bay offers a protective cove and marine sanctuary; Playa Palmilla is prefect for shutterbugs and Playa El Medano near Cabo San Lucas is the hottest beach where you will find all of the action. It is the place to see and to be seen. It is also one of the few safe swimming beaches stretching two miles from downtown Cabo San Lucas. This happening beach is great for people watching and you might be lucky enough to capture a glimpse of one of the many famous people who frequent this destination.
Los Cabos isn’t called paradise just for its beaches though. With an average of 360 days of sunshine per year and an average high temperature of a balmy 79 Fahrenheit it is the perfect destination to escape our cold blustery winter weather.
While it is remarkable just how much there is to do in Los Cabos, it is the peace and tranquility that put Los Cabos on the map and make it one of the top tourist destinations from Western Canada. Enjoy the tranquility of the day and fiesta at night.
